No new factory. The same responsibility.

Your parts are made in production plants that already stand, on machines that are already installed, by crews who already work there. We take responsibility for engineering, quality and delivery. A new hall starts its life with hundreds of tonnes of CO2e already spent. We start with halls that stand.

“We build for the people who will use this steel in 2050 and in 2100. The first step is simple: do not build again what already exists.”

This is Stratosteel

The 9 sentences we work by.

  1. Who we areStratosteel is an industrial manufacturing partner connecting certified European production capacities.
  2. How we workWe manage the entire manufacturing process through our production partners.
  3. ResponsibilityWe take responsibility for engineering, quality and delivery.
  4. ProofWe would be happy to show you the production facilities and walk you through our quality controls.
  5. Planned scalabilityOur strength is planned, scalable manufacturing. We allocate production across qualified partners based on capacity and delivery, and Stratosteel oversees quality and execution.
  6. ReassuranceBefore we commit, we verify the technical requirements, available capacity and delivery plan. We only confirm what our production partners can realistically deliver.
  7. Closing reassuranceWhen you place an order with Stratosteel, you can rely on us to deliver what we agreed, to the required quality and on schedule.
  8. Core messageWe combine the flexibility of multiple production facilities with the responsibility of one manufacturing partner.
  9. Next stepShall we start with one drawing or RFQ? We can review it together and propose a manufacturing plan.

How it works

Six things we do, and say plainly.

We build no new buildings

Every hall that already stands has paid its carbon. A new one has not. By published benchmarks, a new 1,000 m² fabrication hall with its cranes, saws and paint booth embodies roughly 340 to 960 t CO2e before it makes the first part; a 10,000 m² plant roughly 3,400 to 10,500 t (estimates). We do not build a hall to win an order. We place the order in a plant that already stands, and that plant confirms in writing that it can carry the work.

Existing machines. Existing roofs.

A machine that is already installed is carbon already spent. We choose the plant and the machine for each part by its size, material and tolerance, and the plant confirms capacity before we confirm a date to you. When a programme grows, we add production at qualified plants that already run, instead of pouring a new floor slab.

The work comes to the people

When work goes to a plant that already has a trained crew, nobody has to be recruited away from another region for it, and nobody has to commute weekly to a new site to make your part. This matters to us: in 2023 more than 116,000 people from Slovakia worked abroad. Work that comes to existing plants is work close to home.

One route. One truck. One responsibility.

For a repeat part we agree the route and the carrier with you before the first delivery, and we choose the plant with the route in mind when capability, quality and date allow. The honest part: for a welded frame the truck is not the big number. One 900 km low-loader trip with an 8 t frame, empty return included, is about 1.7 t CO2e; the steel in that frame is about 6 to 21 t (estimates). So the melt-and-pour origin of the steel is in every quote, and the transport estimate per delivery is yours on request, with method.

What we measure and estimate

Checked for every producing plant: its certificates, their holder and validity, named in the quote. Stated in every quote: melt-and-pour origin of the steel, EU-only routes on request. Estimated on request, with method: transport CO2e per delivery. Not yet known, and said so: the energy a plant uses per part; we ask for it with the first-off piece. Excluded across the whole chain: Russian and Belarusian material.

What we will not claim

That we are carbon neutral, or that our production is green. That we know the carbon footprint of every delivery: we do not, yet. That we saved you CO2 against your current supplier: every comparison needs the same method on both sides. Spare capacity: capacity is confirmed by the plant, per order, before we commit. A certificate we do not hold: the holder of every certificate is named.

Certificates

Stratosteel s.r.o. holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certificates issued by QECON, valid to 24 March 2028. They cover the contracting entity. The certificates of the producing plant are named in the quote and open to your audit.

Steel for data centres

Steel frames and structures for data-centre modules and halls: with the quote we name the producing plant, the route to your site and the melt-and-pour origin of the steel, and on request the transport estimate per frame. Steel structures →

How we calculated

Estimates, with their method.

These are estimates, not measurements. Building: 250 to 604 kg CO2e per m² (upper values: warehouse averages for upfront and whole-life carbon in the INDICATE report of the Irish Green Building Council and the University of Galway, updated March 2025; lower value: a lean steel hall, our assumption). Equipment: assumed 40 to 120 t of cranes, saws, booths and handling equipment for a 1,000 m² frame shop, at 2.2 to 3.0 t CO2e per t (worldsteel steel intensity 2024 plus an allowance for motors and electronics). Truck: articulated truck over 33 t, diesel, loaded leg at the 50 % laden factor plus the empty return, well-to-wheel, UK Government GHG conversion factors 2026. Steel: 0.71 to 2.66 t CO2e per t of crude steel by production route (worldsteel, Sustainability Indicators 2025, data year 2024). Workers abroad: Institute for Financial Policy, reported by The Slovak Spectator, 16 October 2024. Not included: fabrication energy and paint at the plant. The full calculation is available on request.

Send one drawing.

We review it with you and propose a manufacturing plan: the plant, the route, the quality controls and the origin of the steel. First technical answer within 48 hours. We own responsibility for the result.
