Verification
We don't trust. We verify.
Certificates are read, not filed. Parts are measured, not assumed. On critical parts our engineers stand at the pour, the heat treatment and the first piece, because those are the moments that decide the outcome. On request, a named third party verifies per order and is billed transparently. This page explains exactly what that means, with one documented case.

Three layers
Paper. Metal. Process.
Certificates are read
Heat number against the melt log. Element percentages against the grade. Mechanical values against the right revision of the standard. Line by line, on every delivery that carries a certificate.
Parts are measured
Independent measurement on the critical end of the tolerance budget. WENZEL LH 108 CMM, Mitutoyo BHN706, FARO laser tracker for parts that do not fit a table.
Moments are witnessed
Pour, controlled cooling, heat treatment, first piece. On critical parts our engineers are present. The witness function there is not delegated.
What reading finds: a wrong heat number. An element percentage that does not match the grade. A strength value from a different revision. Certificates are written by people. That is why we read them.
Documented case
310 tonnes, missing on paper.
A second read of a steel take-off, summer 2026. A structural package of roughly 1 000 tonnes was about to go out. We re-added the bill of material line by line. The subtotals came out 310 tonnes short of the line items: one section group simply had no subtotal line.
Found before the RFQ went out, it cost nothing. Found after contract award, it would have cost the difference. The customer is not named and will not be.
The same second read is open to you, at no cost and with nothing attached: send the take-off before your package goes out, and we read it the way we read our own.
Third party
Named, chosen per order, billed transparently.
Where your specification or your risk profile asks for it, an independent inspection body verifies the order: witness points, EN 10204 3.2 certification, dimensional audit. The body is named in the offer, the cost is its own line. You pay slightly more and receive nonconformity in fractions of a percent instead of single percents.
Toward partners this is standard, not suspicion: the partner agreements say so in writing. Toward customers it is respect, proven with instruments.
Where the measuring happens

Certificates, by number
Numbers, issuer, validity. Not a wall of logos.
Held by Stratosteel s.r.o., the legal entity that signs your purchase order. Certification body: QECON, spol. s r.o., Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, accredited under SNAS Reg. No. 255/Q-040, IAF MLA signatory. Audit protocol CA-05/25, technical area EA 29.
| ISO 9001:2015 | Certificate QMS-05-25-00 · issued by QECON · valid 24.03.2025 to 24.03.2028 · scope: high-precision quality machined parts and manufactured units · scan on request |
|---|---|
| ISO 14001:2015 | Certificate EMS-05-25-00 · issued by QECON · valid 24.03.2025 to 24.03.2028 · combined environmental certificate · scan on request |
| ISO 45001:2018 | Certificate EMS-05-25-00 · issued by QECON · valid 24.03.2025 to 24.03.2028 · combined occupational health and safety certificate · scan on request |
| EN ISO 3834-2 | Welding quality requirements, held within the network by the assigned weld shop, weldments to 10 t. Certificate holder named and the certificate copied at qualification. |
| EN 1090-2 EXC3 | Structural steel execution, held by the assigned fabricating unit, partner scope to 64 t × 45 m. Certificate holder named and the certificate copied at qualification. |
| EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 | Documentation standard issued per delivery, not a company certificate. 3.1 as standard, 3.2 with a named third party on request. |
Certificate scans on request. Ask at rfq@stratosteel.com and the PDFs come back with the registry extract, ready for your qualification pack. The numbers are on this page first, so you can verify them at the issuing body without waiting for us.

Reference calls, arranged under mutual NDA.
Every active OEM qualification track and the serial defence program sit under NDA, so we do not print customer logos. That protection runs both ways, and it is the reason we are trusted with the drawings we hold.
Reference calls are arranged under mutual NDA at qualification. You tell us which sector and which part family matters to you, we ask the customer whose programme is closest, and if they agree you speak to them directly, without us on the line. If they decline, we say so instead of substituting a weaker name.
What is public without an NDA: the delivered parts on the proof page, the documented 310 t take-off case above, and the certificate numbers you can verify at the issuing body yourself.
Production units
Anonymous now, named in the quote.
The producing works is named in the quote, not after the PO. Before that, this is the shape of the network you are buying into.
| Unit A · SK | Heavy machining, envelope 9 × 3 × 2.5 m |
|---|---|
| Unit B · SK | 5-axis precision to IT6, moulds and serial machined parts |
| Unit C · SK | Vertical turning to ø 2 700 mm and general machining |
| Unit D · SK | Certified weldments to 10 t under EN ISO 3834-2 |
| Unit E · CZ | Open-die forging press, heavy castings, machining |
| Unit F · CZ | Steel and iron castings, forged pieces from 0.05 t |
| Unit G · PL | Foundry castings, project basis |
| Unit H · non-EU | Serial castings and machining, used where the part and the programme fit it |
Every unit is auditable, and audits at the producing works are arranged through us, not around us. Certificates per unit are copied into your qualification pack with the unit named. The full plant list with locations, capabilities and certificates is on the table at qualification, under NDA.
On origin: this is an EU-first network. The melt-and-pour origin is stated in every quote, per part, before you order, and it is documented that way for tenders. The network also holds units outside the EU, and where one of them is the right route for a part we say so in the quote rather than let you discover it later. EU-only routes are available on request: ask for it in the RFQ and the quote is built on EU melt and pour, or we tell you the part cannot be quoted that way.
