Steel castings · Europe · one PO

A 50 t steel casting, delivered machined. Under one PO.

Stratosteel delivers steel castings to 50 t single piece through long-term EU foundry partners. Demonstrated. Delivered machined and documented, not raw. Machining to 50 t static runs under the same PO. The NDT scope is agreed before the pour. Above 50 t, a qualified non-EU route reaches 135 t, disclosed before you order. Send the drawing, an engineer answers within 48 hours.

First technical answer within 48 hours. Firm quote in 3 to 7 working days once the foundry is confirmed.

Running through long-term EU foundry partners under Stratosteel POs. The numbers are in service in the network today, documented.

On critical castings our engineers are present at the moments that decide the outcome: pour, controlled cooling, heat treatment, first piece. The witness function there is not delegated.

Qualified route · not yet run under our PO

Above 50 t: the honest answer

Qualified route. Contracted, not yet exercised under a Stratosteel PO. Stated exactly as that.

Single pieceto 135 t, qualified non-EU route
Disclosureupfront, before you order
Originmelt-and-pour origin stated in every quote, EU-only routes available on request, never assumed

Two kinds of numbers, and we keep them apart. Demonstrated: in service in the network today, documented. Qualified: contracted and ready, not yet run under our PO. The label is always on the number.

Chain of custody runs from melt to delivery. Heat number, pour date, operator on shift, inspector on duty.

3 TO 7 DAYS

Firm quote

Price, lead time, documentation scope. Issued once the production unit is confirmed, so the number holds.

ONE PO

One responsibility

Machining, verification, documentation and delivery under one contract with Stratosteel s.r.o. We manage the plants. Audits at the producing works are arranged through us, not around us.

DELIVERY

Verified part, full file

EN 10204 3.1 certificate, CMM dimensional report, NDT protocol where specified. Traceability to heat number.

What we need from you: the drawing (PDF, STEP, DWG, DXF or IGES), material, quantity and target date. What we do not do: quote blind without a drawing, or start production without an agreed documentation scope. If the part is outside our envelope, we say so in the first reply. The full process →

What arrives at your dock

  • The casting, machined to drawing, not raw
  • EN 10204 3.1 material certificate, 3.2 with named third party on request
  • NDT protocol per agreed scope: UT, MT, PT in the network, RT via ISO 17025 laboratory
  • Chain of custody from melt to delivery: heat number, pour date, operator on shift, inspector on duty
  • melt-and-pour origin stated in every quote, EU-only routes available on request. Where the non-EU route applies, we say so before you order.

Proof

Castings from our network run in machines of major mining and construction OEMs today. Network production, stated as exactly that: it runs in the network, not under our direct contract. Proof page →

Materials

Carbon and low-alloy cast steels. Manganese steel at 13 and 17 percent for wear applications. Stainless, duplex, tool steels, high-temperature grades for turbines. Ductile and grey iron on project basis. Bronze CuSn10 / B101, centrifugally cast.

NDT before the pour

The NDT scope is agreed before the pour, not negotiated after a defect. UT, MT, PT in the network. RT via an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.

Urgent capacity

The network runs with deliberate spare capacity. When a supplier fails mid-program, send the drawing and write URGENT in the subject. The 48 hour answer includes the earliest realistic slot.

Straight answers

The questions buyers ask about steel castings.

Who can supply a 50 t steel casting in the EU?
Stratosteel supplies steel castings to 50 t single piece through long-term EU foundry partners. Demonstrated, with documented service behind it. The casting arrives machined and documented, not raw, because machining to 50 t static runs under the same purchase order. Send the drawing to rfq@stratosteel.com and a first technical answer comes within 48 hours: feasibility, proposed route, open questions.
Do you deliver castings raw or machined?
Machined and documented. Machining to 50 t static is integrated under the same PO as the casting. The part arrives finished, with an EN 10204 3.1 certificate, the agreed NDT protocol and traceability to heat number. Not raw.
What NDT runs on heavy castings and when is it agreed?
The NDT scope is agreed before the pour, not negotiated after a defect. UT, MT and PT run in the network, RT via an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. EN 10204 3.1 certificate as standard, 3.2 with a named third party on request. Traceability records heat number, pour date, operator on shift and inspector on duty.
What happens above 50 tonnes?
A qualified non-EU route exists to 135 t single piece. Qualified means the contract exists and the route has not yet run under a Stratosteel PO, and we state that openly. We disclose the route upfront, before you order. Melt-and-pour origin is stated in every quote, never assumed, and EU-only routes are available on request. The responsibility sits with Stratosteel either way.
Who supplies mining crusher and wear castings in Europe?
The network casts manganese steel at 13 and 17 percent for crushers and wear applications. Castings from this network run in machines of major mining and construction OEMs today. That is network production, and we label it as exactly that: it runs in the network, not under our direct contract. Your order runs under one Stratosteel PO, with the NDT scope agreed before the pour.
What happens after we send a casting RFQ?
Within 48 hours an engineer sends the first technical answer: feasibility, proposed process route, open questions. The firm quote follows in 3 to 7 working days once the foundry is confirmed. Then one PO with Stratosteel covers the casting, machining, verification, documentation and delivery. We manage the foundries. You audit through us.
